SPACE project consortium meeting in Cork: Strengthening University–Community Partnerships

How can we better mobilise community voices to strengthen university–community partnerships? This was a central question at the recent SPACE project consortium meeting, held from 8 to 11 April 2025 at University College Cork (UCC).

The meeting brought together partners from Ireland, Belgium, Spain, and Croatia to review progress and collaborate on the next phase of the project. A key outcome was the finalisation of a new tool designed to help universities enhance engagement with their local communities. The tool aims to support more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable university–community collaborations.

The agenda also included workshops on the co-learning programme development where partners finalised formats for upcoming short-term learning cycles and “deep-dive” sessions.

This event marks another important milestone in the SPACE project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, as it continues to foster civic engagement and educational innovation across Europe.
