Governance At Street Level

Short description

In this module, students in the Bachelor Management, Society and Technology explore which factors affect the development and the effectiveness of new, co-produced or citizen-initiated (often-times digitally mediated) modes of public value-creation at the street-level. These new modes of public governance emerge in domains as different as community-policing, employment-finding for the persistently unemployed, social care for multi-problem households, local energy initiatives, and neighbourhood cooperatives. The presentation of essays took place during the D’RAN festival at the University of Twente for an audience of professionals and citizens involved in such initiatives.
