UdG student associations

The UdG associations play a vital role in fostering numerous initiatives and providing an additional avenue to encourage the active engagement of university student community members in cultural, recreational, social, professional, and other activities. These associations serve as essential tools that enable community members to participate in university life, access information, and partake in activities that enhance their overall development and interpersonal relationships.

The formation of associations among UdG students, based on ideological or cultural affinities, facilitates connections with the broader society and promotes a wide range of vibrant extracurricular activities. These initiatives enrich the university experience, offering diverse opportunities for personal growth and learning outside of the formal academic setting.

To facilitate collaboration and coordination among student groups, the Council of UdG Student Associations acts as the central organizing body. This council, comprised of representatives from each registered association at the Universitat de Girona, convenes multiple times a year to make crucial decisions that shape the council’s operations. Among these decisions are the election of the council coordinator and secretary, the establishment of committees, and the organization of booths during the Girona Sant Narcís town fair.
