Are you passionate about fostering meaningful partnerships between academia and the community? The Supporting Professionals and Academics for Community Engagement in Higher Education (SPACE) project invites you to our Short Training on Community-Engaged Partnerships

Each session offers practical insights on designing and integrating community-engaged practices into academic curricula, featuring expert keynotes, real-world case presentations, and interactive discussions. 

Second Training Session: 

Topic: Community-Engaged Partnerships: Models, Ethics, and Practical Considerations 

Date: Thursday, May 08, 2025 

Time: 13:30–14:30 CET 

This session will introduce different partnership models, with a focus on how to tailor approaches to meet the needs of both academic institutions and communities. Ethical considerations and potential dilemmas will be critically discussed. The session will also highlight the resources required to sustain partnerships and provide strategies for overcoming common challenges. 

The session will feature: 

  • A keynote introduction to community-engaged partnerships, provided by Bojana Cumul 
  • Real-world case examples and practical insights, provided by Magdalena Črnac & Siobhan O’Sullivan. 
  • An interactive discussion, moderated by Ana Skledar Matijevic. 
  • Celine Cocquyt will be the session-host.
